Vladyslav is a talented and very gifted child. He is a cheerful, kind, and interesting boy who is always ready to share his positive energy with others. He enjoys swimming and soccer, but most of all he loves riding his bike. He has started learning foreign languages and has become interested in fishing.

Vlad developed type 1 diabetes when he was only five years old: chickenpox had critical consequences for the pancreas of a boy who was already genetically predisposed to the disease. Seven years of diabetes have instilled in him a remarkable sense of responsibility and independence, as he has to monitor his sugar levels daily and administer insulin injections on his own. He understands that his disease is chronic, so by following his doctors' advice and taking care of himself, he can live a full life.

That is what he tries to do: he constantly follows his diet and bravely undergoes treatment. Every day, he has to prick his fingers with a glucometer to measure his blood glucose concentration and inject insulin four or more times a day. Continuous monitoring sensors can improve a child's life and keep their glucose levels normal, but this requires considerable funds, which the boy's family does not have.
