Standing with the Hero

The lives of severely wounded veterans who are bedridden due to their injuries are a daily struggle. For those who once stood on the front lines defending our land, even the simplest things – getting up, changing clothes, or turning over – have now become a challenge.

What seems normal to most people – clean sheets, diapers, diapers – becomes a matter of dignity and comfort for them. Every day is a feat accomplished in silence, without applause, but with pain, patience, and faith.

Every month, one bedridden veteran needs about 60 diapers. A pack of 30 costs about 700 UAH. This is not a luxury, but a daily necessity to avoid bedsores, pain, and humiliation.

They do not complain because they are used to suffering. But we cannot leave them alone with these difficulties.

The Charitable Foundation "Caritas Berdychiv UGCC" has been supporting people in need for over three years – those who gave their lives and health for Ukraine. Today, we are asking you to help us provide bedridden veterans with diapers and diaper covers.

Every hryvnia is not just help. It is gratitude to those who once stood up for us. It is a sign of respect for their sacrifice. It is a gesture of mercy that restores faith and warmth to the hearts of those who paid too high a price for peace.
