Grocery emergency care. 2

In the spring of 2020, when the quarantine began, a huge number of families found themselves in a desperate situation. If the only breadwinner of a large or low-income family loses his job, a family where there are people with disabilities, then the life and health of several people is at risk. To support such families from the Dnipropetrovsk region, the charity fund "Help" created the "Food emergency" project.

In 2020, we purchased and distributed 212 sets of basic products and hygiene products for a total of UAH 144,000. For hundreds of children and adults, these kits have helped hold out until paychecks, social benefits, etc. This is what people wrote to us:

"I want to express my deep gratitude to caring people! It is very difficult to survive on a disability pension without being able to work. My daughter, due to the diagnosis, needs constant care and treatment. Thank you very much for the products".

"I make money by baking gingerbread and painting, but now this is not relevant, there is no demand. The son is 4 years old, he has spastic tetraparesis, epilepsy. I bring up a child alone, sometimes my dad sends money a little. And now we live only on a disability pension. We are very grateful for your help!".

"We now have difficulties, the house with all the property burned down, they took the house for payment, all the money is now spent on this, we have no one to wait for help, we have three little children, and your help was very useful to us. Thank you very much for helping". 

The flow of requests showed us that a huge number of families in Ukraine lived below the poverty line and before quarantine. Over the past year, the poverty rate has soared even more, and this is a huge problem and challenge for our country. We want no one to go hungry at this time. We want mums not to have to choose: buy a bag of flour and bake pancakes or buy powder to wash their diapers.

We are opening a collection for sets of basic products and hygiene products. The cost of a set for one family of 3 people is UAH 728. We ask everyone who has the opportunity to participate in the collection in any possible amount. Each of your ten is a lunch for the child and the peace of mind of his mother. Let's help each other to survive in difficult times!
