Just believe in me!

The number of diagnoses this little boy is struggling with is impressive. Denys has mental retardation, malformation of the cerebral cortex, epileptic encephalopathy, vision problems, anomalies of the musculoskeletal system of the whole body, joint weakness, hypotension, difficulties with feeding and metabolism, stunting and underweight. Doctors did not even give a chance that the child would sit on his own. But for more than 3 years Denys has been courageously fighting diseases.

It all started with the fact that after birth the baby did not cry, did not eat on his own and breathed heavily. Two weeks after Denys was discharged, a marathon in hospitals began: at the age of 3 months, the boy was diagnosed with ischemic damage to the central nervous system and neuromuscular syndrome. The boy's condition was assessed as moderate, but the baby did not move his legs, did not lift his arms, did not cry or turn his head to the side, did not eat and slept constantly.

As time went on, Denys's condition did not improve, but the diagnoses in his medical record increased. When the boy was one year old, he was assigned a disability, and at 2.8 he was diagnosed with an orphan disease caused by a genetic mutation. However, the mother believes that her son can be put on his feet and does everything in her power for this. And, fortunately, tireless work and constant rehabilitation brings its results: at 9 months, Denis began to hold his head, at 11 he began to sit with support, and at 14 – crawl.
