Seven-year-old Makar hardly speaks. He cannot explain what he feels, does not respond to his name, and instead of playing, he spins around in circles and retreats into his inner world. He has been diagnosed with autism and severe speech delay. But despite all the difficulties, this boy really wants to have a normal childhood.

Makar's developmental regression began suddenly after he turned one and a half years old. Everything he had learned disappeared. Since then, the boy has needed constant help: sessions with speech therapists and psychologists, massages, sensory integration, swimming, and special education. This is producing results, but the road is long and difficult. Makar's mother is a real fighter. She is raising her son on her own, working, and even studying to become a speech therapist so that she can be not only a support to her son, but also a specialist. However, she is no longer able to pay for the ongoing sessions.

We cannot change Makar's diagnosis, but we can give him a chance. A chance to speak. A chance to understand others. A chance to be part of the world, not remain on the sidelines.
