Five-year-old dreamer Mykhail is a brave, attentive, and caring boy who became a true hero in an instant. For over half a year now he has been fighting an invisible daily battle with type 1 diabetes, learning to manage his blood glucose levels. This diagnosis changed the life of the entire family. Diabetes taught them to be more attentive to each other's needs, to listen to the body's signals, to take care of their physical and emotional health, and to value every peaceful day.
Mykhail loves building LEGO sets, drawing, counting, and playing with his brother and sister – he is the middle child in the family. The boy loves both small and big journeys. He discovers new places with enthusiasm, as every trip brings new impressions and adventures. But without continuous glucose monitoring, even an ordinary walk or trip becomes a real ordeal. Constant pricks on his tiny fingers are painful, exhausting, and become a daily source of stress for the child.
Today Mykhail's family is reaching out to caring people with a request to help provide the boy with continuous glucose monitoring sensors – and thus give him the chance to live without the constant pain of numerous pricks, to monitor his blood sugar in time, and to feel safe.
Every contribution you make for Mykhail is a chance for a more carefree childhood – and for his parents, peace of mind about the health and life of their son.
