Behind every skill Roman gains are years of work with specialists and the great love of his family. To avoid losing the progress he has achieved and to continue learning new things, he needs our help.

Roma’s birth became a long-awaited joy for his parents. But later they noticed that their son’s development was delayed. Examinations confirmed Down syndrome.

Roman also has thyroid dysfunction, scoliosis of the thoracolumbar spine, valgus foot deformity, and deteriorating vision.

Roma speaks in short phrases, confuses sounds, and rearranges letters in words. Due to speech underdevelopment, he needs regular sessions with a speech therapist.

Roman is 15 years old and lives with his family in Dnipro. He studies in the 8th grade of the specialized school "Chance" and eagerly discovers the world around him. He enjoys physical education and crafts classes. In his free time, he performs in the inclusive theater "Nezabudky" and attends aikido classes. Roma always tries to support those who are weaker.

For many years, Roman has worked with rehabilitation specialists and special education teachers, and this brings results.

Now he is going through a difficult puberty period, so the support of specialists – a psychologist, speech therapist, and sensory integration therapist – is important for him. Regular sessions help him strengthen acquired skills and learn new things.

In June, Roman is scheduled to undergo a two-week rehabilitation program at the "Ioanniv Center". The funds will go toward sessions with a psychologist, speech therapist, and sensory therapist. This helps Roman learn to speak better, understand himself, and interact with the world around him.

Roman comes from a large family. Two of the three children in the family have disabilities, so it is difficult for his parents to pay for rehabilitation on their own. They are turning to us for support. Let’s help Roman grow and develop together!
