Sensors chance for Artemc to have a peaceful child

Artem is a very energetic and talented boy. He was born a healthy child, developed quickly, and achieved his goals. A year ago, Artem's condition began to change sharply: weight loss, loss of energy, nausea, and even slurred speech. All the symptoms appeared within 5 days. He was admitted to intensive care, after which he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, severe form, insulin-dependent.

The family does not give up – they undergo the necessary examinations and rehabilitation, follow the doctors' recommendations, and hold onto hope for better days. Over the year of treatment, Artem was found to have complete lactose intolerance. It is sometimes very hard for Artem to restrain himself from his desires, but the boy has already grown accustomed to his new scheduled way of life and new diet.

Artemchyk goes to football, attends additional classes in mathematics, writing, and reading. He is passionate about electronics and dinosaurs and has many friends.

State support covers only the most essential needs of the child, and only the mother works in the family. Despite everything, his parents try to provide Artemchyk with everything necessary so that life with diabetes is safer, without complications and without pain for their son. To make life easier and avoid multiple insulin injections, they purchase replaceable insulin delivery devices. But to avoid pricking his fingers to measure blood sugar up to 10 times a day, Artem needs glucose monitoring sensors. They are expensive and only work for 2 weeks, so 2 sensors are needed per month. Such financial costs are beyond the family's means.
