A chance to recover for Dasha

      A horrific car crash has turned Dasha’s life upside down in Kam’yanske. Where there used to be dreams, creativity and friends, there is now a fight for survival.
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the charitable aid operator, the Charitable Foundation ‘POMAGAEM’, dated 31 August 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. No. 380 of 23 June 2026, the project ‘A Chance at Recovery for Dasha’ was published on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising donations to cover the cost of treatment for Daria Sokolovska.
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ – dobro.ua – to purchase medicines for the girl. Therefore, in accordance with letters No. 300 dated 6 July 2026 and No. 389 dated 23 September 2026, we received the raised amounts of 35,900.00 UAH (thirty-five thousand nine hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 29,516.00 UAH (twenty-nine thousand five hundred and sixteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising campaign on the dobro.ua platform.
      Thanks to the funds received, in July this year we purchased and delivered medicines for Dasha totalling 13,376.00 UAH (thirteen thousand three hundred and seventy-six hryvnias, 00 kopecks). In August, we also ensured the child received the necessary treatment, spending 20,274.90 UAH (twenty thousand two hundred and seventy-four hryvnias, 90 kopecks) on this.
      Dasha recently completed another course of rehabilitation at the Charitable Organisation ‘Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy and Inclusive Education Centre named after Saint John the Righteous’. Throughout the course, the girl worked with specialists to improve her condition.
      Doctors note that, for further positive progress, she requires long-term and systematic rehabilitation combined with medication. There is still a lot of work ahead, but her family is already noticing the first positive changes.
Dasha continues her therapy and is gradually making progress, whilst her loved ones look forward with hope to further improvements and believe that perseverance and regular sessions will help her regain vital skills.
We plan to use the remaining funds, amounting to 22,524.00 UAH (twenty-two thousand five hundred and twenty-four hryvnias, 00 kopecks), to meet the girl’s needs in 2026; the project is still raising funds.
