A chance for a healthy life!

Dear donators! The family of llia Lukin needs our help. Illia is 6 years old now and he can’t turn, sit, stand, take toys with his hand on his own. llia was supposed to be born in term as a mature baby, his mother carried him with no complications and waiting for the soon meeting. However, during the 11-hour delivery, the baby's heart stopped, the boy was born as a result of a cesarean section, but he was not breathing! And only after the injection of adrenaline, Illusha's heart began to work. 

llia struggled for his life. The boy spent long time at the intensive therapy unit, he lived only because he got mechanical ventilation and an enteral feeding tube, he could die any moment. But he managed. Now Iliusha suffers from cerebral palsy, has a delay in psychomotor development and epileptic syndrome, but at the same time he knows his relatives, listens to music, chooses his favorite food and watches cartoons. For two years, parents, together with rehabilitation therapists and doctors, have been working to minimize cramps and dystonic attacks, from which Illusha gets muscle pain and spasms. They lead to muscle shortening and contractures. Every month Ilia undergoes rehabilitation, examination, treatment, thanks to which the baby was able to achieve significant success. 

In order not to lose his skills and abilities, the boy must undergo another course of rehabilitation at "Vernigora" recreation complex. Only father works in the family, since the mother is always with Ilia, he needs her. Ilia has difficulties with breathing, swallowing and chewing. This rehabilitation course will give him a chance to live better and easier!
