Help Iryna to recover and for her hair to grow
What would you feel if suddenly you had to say goodbye to something very precious to you? Can you imagine it? If yes, then you can understand the feelings of the long-haired Iryna who had to cut her beautiful hair. Her disease would take it away all the same…
The girl has an acute leukemia and she needs chemotherapy. She needs the drug Mitoxantrone which is not provided by public procurement.
A 17-year-old girl was almost independent: she left her parents’ house in her native village and went to raion center to study. She always liked little children and wanted to become a primary school teacher. But now she has to postpone her dreams for an indefinite period of time. She has an opportunity to spend time with kids as the pediatric department is full of them but she has neither strength, nor mood to do it… And still her teacher’s calling prevails: she teaches kids to read, paints with them.
It’s hard for the girl to accept the changes. Physical weakness, reactions to chemotherapy and fear of the future exhaust Iryna. When she looks in the mirror she doesn’t recognize herself at all with a new haircut. Ira and her relatives hope that she will recover from her disease and her hair will grow again. But it is a long way to go. This ordinary rural family cannot afford to buy all the necessary medicines on their own. Iryna’s friends do their best to support her family. They helped to buy a part of medicines. But treatment continues and this is not enough.
Friends, we can help Iryna! Let’s do it!
