Strength for a Little Dreamer

       Due to the stress experienced by his mother, Viktoria, Andriy was born at 35 weeks’ gestation with signs of hypoxia. His discharge summary stated: hypoxic-ischaemic damage to the central nervous system. At eighteen months, the boy stopped speaking and making eye contact, began flapping his arms like wings, and became a fussy eater. Three years later, he was diagnosed with childhood autism.
In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the Charitable Aid Operator Charitable Foundation ‘POMAGAYEM’ dated 31 August 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. 336 of 17 September 2025, the project ‘Strength for a Little Dreamer’ was posted on the website of the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation ‘UBB’ – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising donations to cover the cost of Andrii Kovalchuk’s treatment.
During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” – dobro.ua – to purchase medicines and special dietary products for the boy.
Therefore, in accordance with letters No. 502 dated 29 September 2025, No. 572 dated 4 November 2025 and No. 75 dated 19 February 2026, we received the collected sum of 5,680.00 UAH (five thousand six hundred and eighty hryvnias, 00 kopecks), 5,000.00 UAH (five thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 3,523.00 UAH (three thousand five hundred and twenty-three hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising campaign on the dobro.ua platform.
In October 2025, we purchased and delivered special dietary products and medicines for Andriyko totalling 5,680.00 UAH (five thousand six hundred and eighty hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in November, for a total of 5,000.00 UAH (five thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks). In February 2026, we also supported the boy with Nutricia Nutridrink Compact special formula totalling 3,420.20 UAH (three thousand four hundred and twenty hryvnias, 20 kopecks). 
Andriy recently fell ill and had a rather difficult time recovering: he had a high temperature for five days, and his full recovery took more than ten days. Due to ongoing health issues and limited finances, he was unable to undergo all the necessary tests in time, which significantly complicated the situation. 
Today, the boy has finally returned to school. He loves spending time outdoors and using the outdoor exercise equipment, getting real enjoyment from it. Andriy trains enthusiastically and has asked his mum to enrol him in a sports club. His greatest dream is to become an athlete and attend training sessions regularly, but the family currently cannot afford this.
His mum sincerely thanks everyone who provides support and assistance with her son’s treatment, as well as with the purchase of special formulae, which are extremely important for Andriy’s health and full development. 
We plan to use the remaining unused funds of 102.80 UAH (one hundred and two hryvnias, 80 kopecks) to meet the child’s needs in 2026; the project is still raising funds.
