Nikita is now seven years old, which can hardly be called the happiest time in his life. The full-scale war began when the boy was just four. His family found themselves in the occupation zone in Nova Kakhovka. Nikita and his mother were forced to leave their home and move to Odesa. The boy misses his home, friends, and grandparents very much. Most likely, his disease developed due to the stress caused by moving from the occupation zone and the excitement of the war.
In Odesa, Nikita and his mother often have to go down to the basement during air raids. His mother noticed that the boy was drinking a lot of water. Doctors advised him to get tested. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Nikita ended up in a hospital bed, and later the doctors made a difficult diagnosis – type 1 diabetes, insulin-dependent.
Nikita lives with his mother in a rented apartment. The boy is in the first grade. He lives in difficult conditions caused by the war. His mother is not able to provide Nikita with sensors – diabetes control devices that the boy needs to maintain a stable state of health and prevent complications. She sincerely hopes for help.
