Sound of Hope Vol.1

The goal of the charitable project of a lounge-bar network L'Kafa-Cafe #Sound of Hope is to help children with impaired hearing. According to statistics, now there are 186 000 of disabled children in Ukraine who suffer from that. Every child has to hear to understand the world around. Hearing binds us to relatives, friends and close people. It allows us to perceive the surrounding world with all the sounds, the music. It serves to receive information, to gain knowledge, for social communication. Joining our project you will be able to help these children have joy from hearing this world!

The first child who will be able to receive the hearing aids due to the project #Sound of Hope is Kiril Dyachul. Kirils hearing has been impaired inborn. The first call his parents got was at his age of 3 years old. His mother noticed that he does not hear well, does not react to her calls, does not answer questions. After the multiple visits to doctors and multiple examinations of the child the problem was found only in the regional hospital in Bila Tserkva. Just by chance there the doctor noticed that the baby looks at him as if he was reading all the words from the lips. And then began checkings under anesthesia, fear and panic for the child! After the first prescription of hearing aids, Kirils parents bought them on their own. As it turned out afterwards not those which were necessary for the full development of the child! Years passed and the kid was growing. Kiril started to understand everything and he started asking not childish questions "why me? what wrong have i done to need to wear the hearing aid?"...

After the kindergarten Kiril went to the specialized school. Because he would not be able to study in the usual school using his hearing aid! Now his classmates are children who do not speak at all, only by gestures. Kiril comes home sad every day, because his school life is all in silence!

His mom decided that she would not give up until she is 100% sure that her baby does not have any chance to have a full life, but even then she would not give up. She found the right hearing aid, which her son did not want to take off because with them he could hear and understand everything! And then the question where to get the money for it arises...

Last year Kiril's mother bore him a brother and went on maternity leave. The boy's father works on Antonov's aircraft plant, makes very little money. Good hearing aids are expensive. For Kiril's family it is a big problem to gather funds for this hearing aid..

"Very often, after the news on TV, where they speak of children who need help, we used to send funds to them. Not much, but as they say with the world on a string... Now i am in the situation when i have to ask people to help my son!" – wrote Kiril's mother in her letter.

Hearing Center LLC "Betterton" (hearing aids "Starkey Hearing Technologies" USA) joined the charity project #Sound_of_Hope, and became the Angel of the project providing hearing devices for children for special offer discount.

Every one of you can help the project. You only need to stop by the restaurant L'Kafa-Café on 8-B Gryshko Str. and sing your favourite songs in karaoke, thus helping children. All the funds from ticket sales will go to the support of the project.
