Hope for a life without pain

Nastusia was born after a difficult delivery: hypoxia, umbilical cord entanglement, and two weeks on a ventilator. Later, doctors diagnosed her with cerebral palsy. That was the beginning of the fight for a full life – endless hospital visits, rehabilitation centers, and consultations with doctors.

Despite all the efforts, Nastusia cannot sit or walk on her own and needs constant assistance in her daily life. Yet, despite her serious diagnosis, she is an incredibly kind, intelligent, and joyful girl. With her mother’s help, she loves to draw, model with clay, listen to fairy tales, and spend time with her younger brother.

Recently, Nastusia’s condition has sharply worsened: due to pathological muscle tone, a hip dislocation has developed. She cannot straighten her leg and experiences severe pain even at rest. Without surgery – a femoral osteotomy with plate fixation – the situation will only get worse. The operation will allow the joint to return to the correct position and free Nastusia from pain.

Nastusia’s family is now going through a difficult time: her mother takes care of both children on her own, as their father has been defending Ukraine for almost two years. All the family’s savings have been spent on rehabilitation, so they cannot afford the urgent surgery by themselves.

We aim to help the family and raise 42,600 UAH to cover the cost of the operation.
