Indeed, in the process of helping children with congenital heart defects, it is important not only to technically perform the operation, but also to prevent any variants of infection of an already weakened organism. Therefore, it is very important to use disposable medical supplies. Today, all foreign clinics and most medical institutions in our country use only disposable surgical linen. The priority point in the work of surgeons is sterility, no risk of transmission of an infectious agent from a previous patient, etc. It is also worth noting that the underwear is made according to individual tailoring, which increases the level of comfort of the doctor and patient at the time of use. Taking into account the costs when using reusable linen (washing, sterilization, repair, etc.), the transition to disposable linen will reduce financial costs, ensure the fruitful work of the medical staff, and also preserve the safety of the child at the time of the surgical intervention.

According to statistics, the department of cardiovascular surgery of the Odessa Regional Children's Hospital performs 130-150 operations on the children's heart annually. To provide cardiac surgery with an annual supply of surgical underwear, 140 sets must be purchased.
