Bohdan's suffering can be alleviated

Last fall, the always active and athletic Bohdan began to lose weight. Worried parents turned to doctors. The examinations revealed that the boy had insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes. Bohdan ended up in a hospital bed under an intravenous drip. It was a real shock for his parents. It became clear that from now on, Bohdan would have a completely different childhood, involving constant sugar monitoring and insulin injections, a special diet and a strict lifestyle. Four months after his diagnosis, Bohdan fell into a coma for the first time due to hypoglycemia. His brain began to swell, and he spent two days in the intensive care unit. His sugar level spiked again and he had to replace insulin with another one.

Gradually, Bohdan began to learn to live again. He used to love all kinds of buns, cookies, grapes... Many of the foods he used to love are now forbidden to him. He had to give up football, basketball, cycling and other lively sports because when he puts pressure on his body, his blood sugar level drops, and this is dangerous.

The boy has now finished the 5th grade. His fingers are already so affected by the injections that almost no blood comes out of the punctures, and the boy is in great pain. His mother has to make an injection 2-3 times to measure his sugar level. And it needs to be measured 10-15 times a day. These sufferings can be eliminated by using modern sensors. But Bohdan's parents are unable to provide their son with them on their own, so they are turning to us for support. The boy needs our help.
