From the moment he was born, Denys was a cheerful, smiling and energetic boy. At the age of three, he went to kindergarten. But after two months, the child was unrecognizable: Denys became lethargic, no smile, the boy began to lose weight. One day, the child just slept all day, even though he could not be put to bed before. The next day, his mother took Denys for tests. By that time, Denys's blood sugar level was already extremely high - the child was in critical condition. On the same day, doctors diagnosed the boy with a terrible diagnosis – type 1 diabetes, severe form.

It was a shock for the mother. The doctor then said that the child's life was in her hands.

“Life has turned into hell, because every day you have to count food on the scales, calculate insulin rates for a certain amount of food. All this is unstable because the coefficients are constantly changing due to many factors. Therefore, every day is completely different, and you need to adapt. The sugar level in children under 6 years of age changes very sharply, and this is a severe course of the disease. Insulin injections need to be made 5 to 10 times a day,” the mother recalls.

The child needs round-the-clock monitoring of blood sugar levels, which allows him to react in time to too low or too high levels. If you don't react to low sugar in time, the child can fall into a hypoglycemic coma even in 30 minutes, and if you don't react to high sugar, there will be concomitant complications from diabetes. It is difficult to monitor this with a glucometer because you need to pierce your fingers and take measurements 20 times a day.

The mother is raising her son on her own. She is unable to work because she is constantly chained to her son. Now Denys is in the 1st grade, and during the educational process, his mother is always near the school to respond to the challenges of the disease in time. She cannot buy sensors on her own. Denys needs support!
