From school years we got used to a certain image of the library: a book collection, forms and prints on books. However, a new generation has grown up today, a new type of readers, and now the library is not dead silence and dusty shelves. This is a place where everyone should find something interesting for themselves, where new ideas should be generated, where life should be seething, and truth should be born in discussions. Today the Khmelnytskyi library needs modernization and changes and this is where your help is urgently needed.

Libraries in cities have always played an important social, educational and cultural function. Today, both as public institutions and as a space, they are undergoing transformations associated with the challenges of the time: an outflow of users, a change in the nature and carriers of knowledge, a change in values and lifestyles. Under the pressure of changes in society, the library ceases to be a sacred repository of books and turns into a multifunctional space. First and foremost, libraries must become a public space. Events for a variety of audiences should take place here, ranging from familiar educational events to parties and contemporary art exhibitions. Visitors should be comfortable. This applies to lighting, furniture, working hours and especially the informality of the atmosphere. It is necessary to start from the fact that people have different needs - for some it is more pleasant to work in silence, while others are inspired by lively discussion around. Libraries should be especially accessible for children and persons with disabilities. And this requires a comfortable room with separate work areas: video area, computer area, library, recreation area, individual work.

The school library is exactly the point on the city map where the brightest thoughts and feelings arise and burn, it is the center of culture, where the health of the nation is laid. The project is aimed at expanding the opportunities and range of high-quality cultural and educational services for society, ensuring the organization of interesting and meaningful leisure for the younger generation, developing the creative and intellectual abilities of children and youth. To implement the project, it is necessary to create a new appropriate material and technical base, first of all, to purchase new furniture.

We invite all who are not indifferent to join this project and help bring it to life. Each hryvnia will be useful and will help children, adolescents and young people to gain knowledge, to form as a person for the development of society. Let's help children together, because the young generation is the future of our society, the future of our state!
