Little Kamilla's problems began at birth: during a difficult delivery, the girl suffered from hypoxia. Fortunately, despite the complications, the child grew and gained strength like the rest of her peers, except for a weakened immune system. It was this that played a cruel joke on her – at the age of 2, Kamilla ended up in intensive care with rotavirus. And in the spring, she was given the most painful diagnosis that changed the girl's life forever – type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
But life goes on, and the family is adapting to the new situation: learning to count carbohydrates, adjust insulin doses for meals, and keep up with collecting, weighing, and calculating. Fortunately, one of the biggest problems for people with diabetes is being solved by continuous glucose monitoring sensors, which allow her mother to check her daughter's sugar levels in real time at any moment and from anywhere in the world. This makes life much easier for the family and even saves lives: the device detects even the slightest fluctuations, helping to notice changes in sugar levels in time and respond to them.
Unfortunately, however, the family cannot afford to buy these essential sensors on a regular basis. Kamilla's mother works as a saleswoman, her father is a security guard, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to provide for their two daughters on their own. Please support them in this struggle!
Kamilla is a sociable, creative, active child who adores her friends and older sister, as well as swimming, beadwork, and sculpting. The girl has a cat named Teddy, wants a dog in the future, and recently her friends gave her snails as a gift. They help her bravely endure all difficulties.
