In a month it will be eight years since Olga woke up from the wild cry of her son around midnight. A healthy, athletic guy who led the right lifestyle. student with good grades. Almost 18 years without any serious illness. And here it is. The mother didn't know what was happening to her child – a frenzied scream, then something she now knows. These are convulsions, he was unconscious, terrible convulsions twisted his body.

It seemed to Olga that her son was dying from some kind of pain, she did not understand what or who was hurting him. Somewhere in five – seven minutes of this horror – breathing stops... Her child in her arms is lifeless... turned blue, motionless. A whole life passed before my eyes. After a few seconds, the breath began to appear. With trembling hands, Olga called an ambulance. What the emergency doctor said – convulsive syndrome, immediate hospitalization. And by the morning Andrey has defended his term paper. Despair, misunderstanding – what happened and what to do in general. Hospitalization did not allow me to defend my coursework, but it is good that the teachers agreed to wait as long as necessary.

Examination, medication, another examination, change of medication, because the cramps were coming back. I was afraid to go to bed, I listened to Andrey's breathing. The study stopped, the teachers were waiting. Days, months passed, again convulsions, again a new medicine, an examination. Andrei was given the opportunity to graduate from a technical school, but the profession did not matter to him now. The mining industry with a diagnosis of epilepsy is closed. He was aware of everything, it was hard for him, he did not understand what he would do in life and how to live in general.

Attacks could overtake him at night, during the day on the street, at home watching TV.

So the years went by. Friends worked. He watched. Andrei was looking for a part-time job on the Internet, at a computer. We needed money for examinations, medicines, trips to the regional center, because we live in a small mining town. In addition, Olga herself raised two children.

Now Andrei is taking care of his grandparents, because they are already over 80. At least he sees his need for this. Since the outbreak of hostilities, medicines have doubled in price. The mother does not work, because the educators of our area are idle. That is, those 3500 UAH are sorely lacking. Mother is looking for any part-time job. Almost half of the family's money goes to Andrei for medicines. And there are other needs as well.

But they continue to live. Hope for the improvement of Andrey's health. And very grateful to everyone who can help him.
