    Bilal is the only child in Ukraine with Emanuel syndrome, which manifests itself in hearing impairment, speech impairment, muscle weakness, developmental delay, and heart defect. At 1.5 years old, the boy fell into a coma due to nutrient deficiency and anaemia. A gastroenterologist prescribed Resource Junior formula, as Bilal's body can only digest this particular formula. 
   In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the charity operator POMAGAEM Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 278 dated 29 August 2024, the project ‘Unique, but not defeated by illness.2’ was posted on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange - dobro.ua - with the aim of attracting donations for the purchase of special food for Mogammad Bilal. 
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation (UCCF) – dobro.ua – to purchase special food for the boy. Therefore, according to letter No. 499 dated 04.09.2024, we received the collected amount of UAH 10,615.00 (ten thousand six hundred and fifteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform. Another 68,400.00 UAH (sixty-eight thousand four hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) was credited to the Fund's account on 13.11.2024, according to letter No. 685 dated 12.11.2024.
      During 2024, we purchased and delivered Resource Junior formula for Bilal for a total amount of 28,825.00 UAH (twenty-eight thousand eight hundred and twenty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks).

      This year, the boy's family has also repeatedly turned to us for help in purchasing special food. In the winter of 2025, we supported the boy with 18,544.50 UAH (eighteen thousand five hundred and forty-four hryvnias, 50 kopecks), in the spring – with 24,749.40 UAH (twenty-four thousand seven hundred and forty-nine hryvnias, 40 kopecks), and in the summer – in the amount of 25,220.10 UAH (twenty-five thousand two hundred and twenty hryvnias, 10 kopecks).

      In September, his mother contacted us again with a request to purchase Resource Junior formula for Bilal, which we did for 9,162.00 hryvnia (nine thousand one hundred and sixty-two hryvnia, 00 kopecks).

      Last month, Bilal and his mother fell ill with COVID-19. The boy had to be hospitalised because the virus caused complications — bilateral otitis with purulent discharge, high fever and a runny nose. He had a rather severe case of the disease, and prolonged use of antibiotics led to a new exacerbation of his gastrointestinal problems. Now his condition has stabilised somewhat.

      Due to the rainy weather, it is not possible to go for a walk every day, which negatively affects the child's well-being. The boy constantly focuses on his stomach pains and cries. He has to be carried more often, which is noticeably difficult for his mother. This creates a vicious circle: due to constant discomfort, Bilal loses his appetite, although it is vital for him to get enough nutrition to maintain his weight.

      Every day, his mother does her best to support her son's condition — she gives him warm baths, massages and physical exercises.

      We plan to use the remaining unused funds in the amount of 23,909.00 UAH (twenty-three thousand nine hundred and nine hryvnias, 00 kopecks) for Bilal's needs in 2025.
