    Bilal is the only child in Ukraine with Emanuel syndrome, which manifests itself in hearing impairment, speech impairment, muscle weakness, developmental delay, and heart defect. At 1.5 years old, the boy fell into a coma due to nutrient deficiency and anaemia. A gastroenterologist prescribed Resource Junior formula, as Bilal's body can only digest this particular formula. 
   In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange and the charity operator POMAGAEM Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 278 dated 29 August 2024, the project ‘Unique, but not defeated by illness.2’ was posted on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange - dobro.ua - with the aim of attracting donations for the purchase of special food for Mogammad Bilal. 
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation (UCCF) – dobro.ua – to purchase special food for the boy. Therefore, according to letter No. 499 dated 04.09.2024, we received the collected amount of UAH 10,615.00 (ten thousand six hundred and fifteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform. Another 68,400.00 UAH (sixty-eight thousand four hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks) was credited to the Fund's account on 13.11.2024, according to letter No. 685 dated 12.11.2024.
      During 2024, we purchased and delivered Resource Junior formula for Bilal for a total amount of 28,825.00 UAH (twenty-eight thousand eight hundred and twenty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
This year, the boy's family has also repeatedly turned to us for help in purchasing specialised food. In the winter of 2025, we supported the boy with 18,544.50 UAH (eighteen thousand five hundred and forty-four hryvnias, 50 kopecks), in the spring – with 24,749.40 UAH (twenty-four thousand seven hundred and forty-nine hryvnias, 40 kopecks), and in the summer – in the amount of UAH 16,058.10 (sixteen thousand fifty-eight hryvnias, 10 kopecks). 
      Bilal's condition is currently stable. This summer was not too hot and passed quite quickly. His mum took him to the river a few times, and he really enjoyed it, especially the clear, clean water. 
      Bilal loves being outside, so his mum takes him to the park twice a day for a walk, weather permitting. At home, his mother gives him strengthening massages every day and puts him on his feet. Bilal's night-time sleep has also improved; he sleeps more soundly and wakes up less often. His gastrointestinal tract flare-up this summer was not very severe and, fortunately, did not require hospitalisation. Overall, doctors are satisfied with his health. 
      Bilal is now preparing for the school year and will be studying in the 3rd grade on an individual basis.
      His mother, Maryam, writes to us: ‘A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser for my son! We bow low to you all, without your help we would not have managed!’
We plan to use the remaining unused funds in the amount of 42,233.00 UAH (forty-two thousand two hundred and thirty-three hryvnias, 00 kopecks) for Bilal's needs in 2025.
