Dmytro had to fight for his life from his very first breath: the boy was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, an open oval window in his heart, and murmurs. But the doctors coped with this, and eventually everything gradually improved. Dmytro grew up to be very active and inquisitive, always helping everyone and protecting everyone, especially his younger sister. The boy always helps his parents around the house. He especially loves to repair cars with his father. He is even studying to become a mechanic so that he can work with his father.
However, this summer a new problem arose that came as a complete shock to the family – Dmytro has diabetes. Numerous tests and doctors only confirmed the diagnosis. Dmytro couldn't accept it for a long time. His only consolation was his family and friends, who were always there to support him. But pricking his fingers multiple times a day, measuring his sugar levels, and monitoring them is a real challenge for the boy. It is difficult and not always convenient to do this at school – everyone always looks at him with disapproval when he does it and when he injects insulin.
On the advice of a doctor, the family purchased sensors for continuous glucose monitoring. This really simplified Dmytro's life: he became less anxious and started playing sports. However, such devices are not only lifesavers for the family, but also an unbearable expense. Do not let the disease erase the colors from the young man's life!
