Visual impairment prevents Oleksii from becoming a miner
Oleksii, a 15-year-old boy, lives in a village in the Dnipropetrovs'k region and is a 9th grader at a lyceum. Until last summer, he grew up as an active, purposeful and cheerful child. He studied well, helped his mother around the house, dreamed... Until he got sick. When Oleksii went to the doctors, he was diagnosed with a torn retina in his right eye. The guy's emotional state deteriorated significantly, he became confused and cheerful, and lost the desire to dream. Oleksii wanted to pursue the profession his father worked in as a miner. But with his eyesight, he would not be hired at the mine. And he really wanted to be like his father.
Specialists at the OKHMATDYT Children's Hospital scheduled Oleksii for an ophthalmic surgery. The doctors said that the operation should be done urgently, while something could still be fixed. Unfortunately, Oleksii's family has no money. The boy's father died, and his mother is unable to work due to her health condition. They have no one to turn to for help.
Thanks to this surgery, Oleksii's eyesight may return. His mother has a great hope that with his sight, Oleksiy's thirst for his dream will return, and he will become cheerful and cheerful again, wanting to achieve his goal, and work in the profession he chose a long time ago. The boy's mother is hopefully asking for help from philanthropists.
