Bag of joy for the elderly

Do charity – help the old women! Dear philanthropists, helpers, like-minded people and people who are not indifferent, we turn to you for help in purchasing food kits for the wards of the medical and social project "Home care for internally displaced persons in eastern Ukraine".

After the fighting in eastern Ukraine, it became clear that hope, or rather lack of hope, was becoming a key issue for the older generation and people with disabilities. These are people who were left without family, documents and homes and were forced to move to Kharkiv and Kharkiv region. In many of them, the health deteriorated due to the stress experienced, and in some of them there were many concomitant diseases. Being alone with their problems, having lost their homes and any hope for the future, they found peace and comfort thanks to the care and concern of the social workers of the Home Care project.

Constantly visiting our wards for five years, we see how they live modestly and barely make ends meet. It was especially noted that over the last year with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, their physical and psycho-emotional states have deteriorated even more. Many of them, transferred to Covid-19, some in mild form, some in moderate, and some in severe, the fight against its consequences continues to this day. Rents have risen, food prices have risen, medicines have risen, and pensions have been suspended for some. 

Therefore, each of our wards turns to concerned citizens for help – to raise funds for food kits. Thanks to you, our dear benefactors, our old women will be able to eat normally for a certain period of time, without thinking about the choice: medicine or food.
