From 520 grams to a full life

      Polinka was born weighing only 520 grams. For nine months, doctors did everything possible to help the girl survive and learn to breathe, suck and swallow on her own. For 8 years now, Polina has been struggling with the consequences of perinatal damage to the central nervous system: protein-energy deficiency, hyperactivity syndrome, and digestive problems. 
      In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation and the charity aid operator POMAGAEM Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 283 dated 30 September 2024, the project ‘From 520 g to a full life’ was posted on the website of the ICF ‘UBB’ - dobro.ua - with the aim of raising donations to pay for the treatment of Spodina Polina. 
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation (UBB) – dobro.ua – to purchase special food for the girl. Therefore, according to letter No. 208 dated 22 May 2025, we received the collected amount of 19,140.00 UAH (nineteen thousand one hundred and forty hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the fundraising on the dobro.ua platform. 
      In May 2025, we spent all the funds transferred to pay for special food and medicines for Polina.
      Polina's health remains unchanged, which is wonderful. A medical examination by doctors is planned soon. 
      Polina has finished 2nd grade. School is not easy for her, but she tries very hard.  She is active, inquisitive, loves to draw, sculpt with plasticine, and walk with her friends. Polina enjoys spending a lot of time with her pets: cats, dogs, and chickens. Polinka also dreams of having a scooter. 
Currently, all funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the child's needs, and the project is still raising funds.
