Vlad is a sociable and active ten-year-old boy. With unwavering energy, he overcomes all the difficulties that come his way. And there have been many: at an early age, he was hospitalized almost every year with croup, at two years old he underwent an inguinal hernia removal, and at two and a half years old he had heart surgery.
But Vlad's health problems did not end there. When the boy was eight, he was diagnosed with a disease that modern medicine can only control: type I diabetes. Over the past two years, the child has grown up a lot: he has learned to count carbohydrates, inject insulin, and take breaks on his own. But to control his glucose levels, he really needs continuous monitoring sensors.
Vlad lives with his family in Kharkiv, and they have not left their hometown since the start of the full-scale invasion. The boy's father went missing in the war, which has been very stressful for him. The boy attends an underground school, dreaming of one day seeing his free and peaceful homeland from his school window and being able to end his diabetes once and for all. Help him not to lose himself before his dream has a chance to come true!
