Diana Korniievska is 4 years old. Her life did not begin with hugs and peace, but with a struggle for every breath. A difficult birth, asphyxia, and brain damage – this is what the tiny newborn had to face. Instead of first smiles and discovering the world – hospitals, pain, and fear.
Today, Diana cannot roll over, maintain eye contact, respond to her mother’s voice, sit up, or speak. She often cries from pain because her little body fights every day where other children simply live.
"Imagine what it’s like when your child looks right through you. When you call her, and she doesn’t respond. When you can’t ease her pain. But even in this darkness, a light appears. After rehabilitation, Diana began to experience this world a little more. She became more alert and resilient, started sleeping and eating better, following her toys, and even smiling! These are tiny changes, but for us, they are a huge source of hope and proof that she can do it," says her mother.
However, without further rehabilitation, everything could come to a halt. Everything Diana fights for every day could be lost. The family can no longer manage financially, so they are asking for help and a chance for their child. Your contribution could be what allows Diana to live without constant pain. You can give her the chance to experience the world, hear her mom, and take her first step forward!
