Let's save Danylo's life! August 2017

Dania Lyschenko turned 13 years old. Since the beginning of his life, he has a rare serious illness – chronic immunodeficiency. In order not to suffer from viral and infectious diseases, the boy must constantly take medications. But the family does not always have the means to get the right medicine. Repeatedly donors of the UBB helped Dania. Now the boy needs help and support again!

The first health problems for the boy were manifested as early as 7 months of age: a tumor-like formation was removed on the left shoulder. The wound did not heal for a long time, the doctors applied seams, the edges of the wound part, and finally, the wound healed with the formation of a massive scar. And six months later a new diagnosis: cervical lymphadenitis in the stage of infiltration. Surgical and conservative treatment, hospitals, new diagnoses... At the age of two, the baby was diagnosed with a severe form of primary immunodeficiency – a chronic granulomatous disease. Danylo is observed in the Kyiv city clinical center of pediatric immunology since 2006 for primary immunodeficiency and tuberculosis. The child has poorly healed wounds, as well as had complications with BCG, numerous pyogenic and granulomatous processes, tuberculosis, an operation to remove purulent cervical and axillary lymphadenitis.

For a long time, Dania fights against a fungal infection. In 2014, to the boy was diagnosed with a generalized aspergillosis. And in October 2015 it was carried out trepanation of the skull and the abscess was removed. The next year was just wonderful for Dania – the boy was practically not sick. Parents have calmed down, having thought, that all terrible is already behind. But in July of this year, Danechka again got into a hospital with a purulent sore throat. The boy has a high temperature of 39.5C, which crashes only for a while. Doctors suspect that the blame for this is a fungal infection.

His parents try to cope independently with the expenses connected with the treatment of Dania and they educate one more child. To continue treatment, the doctors prescribed for boy medicament Vifend in the quantity of 5 vials for the total amount of 15 795 UAH. This amount is huge for the family of Dania. Becuase the boy constantly takes medications that support immunity. His parents are forced to seek help from all those who are not indifferent: help, please, in the treatment of the son!

Dania is growing up, experiencing all the burdens of congenital disease. The boy is very fond of football, which, unfortunately, he can not play. Also he miss the peers and friends very much. Parents are forced to limit the communication of their son with other children because of the risk of infection. Now Danylo is in the infectious disease department of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. In his spare time from medical procedures, he makes crafts in origami technique.
Danya will need a lot of strength and courage to defeat the disease. And he really needs support and understanding of people!
