Let's save the baby from anomalies

Maria and Victor Lazorishins dreamed of two children, about boy and girl. So in the family appeared David and Polina. But the eldest child asked parents so much about the brother that they decided to have the third child. The ultrasound did not show any abnormalities, so when the birth pangs started, parents felt the just happy excitement. Dad was present at childbirth and he was the first who saw that something was wrong with a baby. Doctors explained: Zahar has developmental malformation, bladder exstrophy. The baby has an opening in the abdominal wall, through which the organs of the small pelvis are visible.

In the Dnieper Center of Mother and Child of Rudnev parents were offered to perform an operation on the plastic of the bladder, which was supposed to cover the wound. Zahar was operated when he was only 2 weeks old. It did not bring any results, fistula remained. Two weeks in the intensive care unit, a month in the children's department - the baby needed a lot of medicines and parents had to ask for financial help from the indifferent people in social networks. There they were found by a mother of Olya Silantieva, a girl from Kamensky, who had four unsuccessful operations in Ukraine. Eventually, we raised funds for Olya for treatment in a specialized clinic in Serbia, and only the work of the local surgeons solved Olya's problem. Those Serbian doctors cured another our mentee Misha Podgorny (after 5 unsuccessful surgeries in the Dnepr!).

The problem is not even that Ukrainian surgeons do not have sufficient qualification, but that parents are not warned about the low probability of a successful result ... But let's leave it to the conscience of our doctors. Thank God, Mom and Dad of Zahar have found out in time were to cure their son. Now it's fundraising - the operation costs 287 thousand UAH. It is not a too much high price for a healthy life of the child, but the large family does not have such amount of money.

Eight-year-old brother of little Zahar is very worried about him. An amazing connection was established between them. David enjoys playing with the baby and looks after him, and Zahar from the birth recognizes him and reacts to David's voice. He, like his parents, dreams of seeing his brother healthy.
