Total amound has been reduced because the state paid for a bone marrow transplant. But in Turkey's hospital was found that Valeriy has hepatitis, so money collected for Valeriy redirected funds to pay weekly laboratory tests to determine the type of hepatitis.

To find funds for grownups is far more difficult than for children. The images with diseased adults don’t excite such acute pity and desire to help, that we ought to ill children. Nevertheless grownups as well as children don’t want to suffer and to die. Valeriy Gavrysh is 39. Strong, healthy man liked his work and sport, adores his 7 years old daughter Kate. Nobody expected that fever would turn into frightful desease...

Nobody expected that after a half-year treatment the doctors would be at a loss: “We did our best, there are no more opportunities to help you in Ukraine”.

In September Valeriy felt bad, the temperature rose. He disregarded, took the pyretic. But it helped just for 2 hours and after that the heat rose again. The house physician suspected pneumonia and recommended an X-ray. Valeriy went to hospital.
Relatives don’t know why he also had a blood test that day as the doctor didn’t prescribe it. After getting results the family physician urgently directed Valeriy to the district hospital. The diagnosis was confirmed there: acute monoblastic leukemia. Early diagnostics had to raise the chances of survival.

Since autumn Valeriy has underwent 4 courses of chemotherapy. The last one was actually the last chance – it was the high-dose chemotherapy. But the transaminase level decreased at first and after a while it rose again. It means regression; the metastases appeared in the liver, lien, lymph nodes.

Now only bone marrow transplantation can save the man. Valeriy has got assessment about the need of it, his sister Natalia made HLA-typing – she turned to be the whole donor. But bone marrow transplantations for adults are not executed in Ukraine.

The relatives have found the clinic in Turkey which is forward to maintain the operation for Valeriy. It will cost 80 000 $. His family and friends can’t raise this money themselves. Please, support Valeriy, it will save the man’s life and save father for his daughter.
