To save little Lady Dee from pain
Diana is a long-awaited child. There were no signs of trouble, but the delivery proved to be challenging. Due to severe hypoxia, the girl was barely saved. However, this was just the beginning of her fight for life. Initially, time passed by in hours, then in days. The severe brain injury still has a lasting impact, causing delays in Diana’s development. However, thanks to rehabilitation, the child is making progress: she has started to sit with support, stand with assistance, and even take her first steps with the help of a walker.
Now, a new issue has arisen. Poor cerebrospinal fluid flow in the brain leads to frequent painful epileptic seizures. Over time, these seizures can result in developmental regression. All the effort put into rehabilitation may go to waste if Diana doesn’t receive a shunt in a timely manner. A special programmable shunt is required, allowing doctors to precisely adjust the pressure. Unfortunately, its cost of 75,000 UAH is beyond reach for Diana’s ordinary family.
Little Lady Dee, as her mother lovingly calls her, continues to find joy in each day, despite the pain, fatigue, and constant seizures. Diana’s parents are doing their utmost to support her development. However, this time, they cannot do it without our support. Diana’s mother is reaching out for help: "Our biggest dream is to see our baby’s smile. We will undoubtedly share this moment with everyone who joins in to change our lives."
