Lust for Life: Stage 2

Igor Marchenko on UBB is not for the first time – in February 2014 UBB raised funds for that boy for important rehabilitation for him that was needed. "Astronaut" suit, Spiderman cage, a special trainer for muscle recovery, spine biofitback, bubble baths with oils and herbs have restarted stubborn body of the boy and gave "charge" for the next six months. The attending physicians and rehabilitologists of Slovak Centre "ADELI" say about the good dynamics of recovery, but in case of regular visits to rehabilitation courses. Next courses scheduled in March 2015.

Igor's story begins at hospital on the 11th of March 2009 – the surgery was unhappy, the boy's heart stopped. Doctors turned him back to life, but he got serious disease. In April Igor with his mother Svitlana went to Slovakia to have heart surgery that he really needed. The surgery was done on April 14. But Igor got new problems. The boy couldn't move his right leg really well as he got stroke. It turned out that Igor hasn't quite right foot. He became limp: during the first operation occurred ischemic stroke, which resulted in the left temporal lobe of killing brain cells. This part of the brain is responsible for motor function. Convulsive hands and easing tension in the leg are the result of a stroke.

In 2011, Igor was invited by the Slovak clinic "ADELI", suggesting they could help. Parents got hope. But they also got need to pay bills for treatment in Slovakia. Money collected the most by bank credits. The financial resources of the family were exhausted. However, friends helped the Marchenko's family, and raised money for rehabilitation. The trip was happy. Result was a miracle: spine, leg, even the hand that didn't bend for 2 years, suddenly began to move well.

After the second trip to Slovakia the boy started to move by 3 of his fingers, the shoulder muscles began to work also.

I believe that kindness is born in the heart of every person. Let's be the ones who will bring this feeling of life to him! Before the next rehabilitation in "ADELI" that starts in March 2015 Igor has to raise more than 200 thousand UAH. Let's fill our world by kindness. Who can do it if we don't?
