Live on after the accident

A misfortune happened in the Lukyanov family. 17-year-old Yegor, meeting his mother after work, was hit by a car right at the pedestrian crossing. For several weeks the boy has been in intensive care, and his family have been collecting funds for his treatment. On an autumn Sunday evening, Mom Svetlana was returning home from work. Her eldest son Yegor came out to help carry the bags. Always attentive on the road, the guy crossed the road only at a pedestrian crossing. How it happened that the driver did not notice Yegor on the zebra, nobody knows.

Mom, not waiting for her son at the bus stop, started calling. A policeman answered the phone and told Svetlana that an ambulance had taken Yegor away. And early in the morning, the guy was transported from the intensive care unit of Kryvyi Rih to the Regional Children's Hospital of Dnipro. For two weeks, Yegor lay unconscious under a ventilator. They were diagnosed with an open craniocerebral injury, a 2nd degree brain contusion, a contusion of the lungs, and multiple bone fractures. The days when the boy did not come to his senses became the most difficult for the family. But Yegor is a strong guy and did it.

When he woke up, he was transferred to the neurosurgery department. But four days later, Yegor's temperature rose and he was again taken to intensive care. Fluid has accumulated in the lungs; had to do an operation. Now Yegor is conscious, he is talking a little, but because of the tracheostomy it is not easy. Doctors give good forecasts, they say that all broken bones will heal, and the guy will fully recover. The question now is whether to operate on the second lung. But doctors still hope that the young body will cope and the operation will not be needed.

Egor is in his second year of college, since childhood he has been engaged in mixed martial arts. The accident will seriously change his life for a long time. Unfortunately, the culprit of the accident, the driver of the car cannot even partially compensate for the costs. There was no court yet.
