Maria Protsenko was the chief architect of Pripyat, it was she who organized the evacuation of people when that terrible tragedy occurred. In three hours, 27,500 local residents were evacuated. Through the loudspeakers, the information was heard all day that you need to take documents, important things and food for the first days with you. Did someone know then that this evacuation would not be temporary?..

After everyone seemed to have left the city, Maria got on a bus and personally drove through the deserted streets to make sure that in fact nobody was left. Maria herself did not leave the city – she organized life for the liquidators of the accident.

Immediately after the accident, Maria began to feel bad: headaches, nausea, high blood pressure. But then she did not think that it was a reaction to radioactivity. 1991 Maria fell ill with paraparesis – a type of spinal paralysis, and now the effects of radiation have manifested themselves even more: Maria has a tumor of the stomach and gallbladder Now she needs to undergo a full stomach examination at a specialized clinic so that the doctors can decide on the upcoming treatment protocol.

Friends, we must help the woman who organized the evacuation of the city of 50,000 and saved thousands of lives from the consequences of the Chernobyl accident!
