Life Goes On. Thanks to You

486 babies were born in just six months – in a frontline city where each morning begins with the sound of explosions.

Imagine a hospital that continues to deliver babies even as air raid sirens howl outside. A hospital that provides care for women from all over Ukraine – from frontline Zaporizhzhia, from temporarily occupied territories, for displaced women, for military servicewomen returning from the frontlines. This is Municipal Hospital №9 of the Zaporizhzhia City Council*.

In autumn 2024, two maternity hospitals – №9 and №4 – were merged with Hospital №9. This created a new obstetric and gynecological department that now saves the lives of women and newborns every single day.

In just six months of work:

• over 700 women received inpatient gynecological care,

• nearly 27,000 women were treated as outpatients,

• 486 babies were born in this unit.

But the equipment doctors use can no longer withstand the daily load. And that means one thing: without our help, many women may not receive the timely medical care they need.

We are raising funds for critical medical equipment, including:

• 3 CM-3 centrifuges,

• a video colposcope for early diagnosis of gynecological pathologies.

This equipment is a lifeline for:

• women who have just given birth,

• patients with severe gynecological conditions,

• displaced women who have lost everything except hope,

• female defenders returning home for treatment.
