Dmytro is about to turn 6, and only a year ago his parents learned that their child was not hearing. And all this time he lived in silence and… did not even know that it should not be so! Just a year ago, when the family suspected something was wrong, they turned to a therapist who referred them to a computer audiometer, where they were diagnosed with "bilateral profound hearing loss. Bilateral sensorineural deafness of the 5th degree". After that, it seemed that the earth was starting to turn the other way. Everything had to be wrong… After all, Dmytro had to be the healthiest and happiest child in the world, because they had been waiting for him and love him so much!  

What is the penalty for? Is it a test? What it is? The worst part of this situation is that parents almost cannot help their child on their own, because one hearing aid for Dmytro costs over 50,000 UAH! And they didn't even see that money...

Hearing deafness and deafness prevent people from fully perceiving sounds. The greater the degree of deafness, the smaller the range a person can hear, and in deafness, this ability is lost completely. Patients diagnosed with hearing loss usually hear sounds at certain frequencies, at high volume. It can be one or two-sided, with the degree of hearing loss on each ear being different. In general, the diagnosis and therapies are similar for both deafness and deafness, so both of these diseases are grouped together. At hearing and deafness of 5 degrees (which was diagnosed by our Dmytro), a person is able to hear only a very loud cry.
