Make warm the baby feet!

For many of us "winter" means bright feelings associated with winter sports, winter recreations, and wonderful winter landscapes but for some families in our region it is an additional reminding about lack of money and poverty. The issue arises sharply before them: how will they get warm in winter cold? What will they put on their children and in particular on their feet? In winter frost you can often see children in worn, damaged boots, old gym-shoes, sneakers or rubber boots. Many people are not able to buy for their children new warm boots for winter.

The shoes from second-hand shops are not resistant, and buying at the other shops is beyond their possibilities. Many of parents have not enough money for food and public utilities, and purchasing new shoes for every season is for them out of the question. In some our villages, especially in mountainous areas, poor children have to go to school on foot up to 5 kilometres on deep snow, often through the sleet in not proper shoes. The children freeze, get ill, miss lessons at school.

Every week many people from socially unprotected families apply to our organization to help them with clothes and warm footwear for their children. These are families with three and more children; families of internally displaced persons, who have not steady earnings, all their money is spent on food and rental; single mothers with children as well as disadvantaged families where one of the parents is an alcohol/drug addict or prisoner.

We would like to purchase warm boots for 35 children from socially unprotected families from Lviv region. For this purpose we need 30 000 UAH. Be not indifferent to our call! With your support the dream of 35 poor children about warm boots will come in true!
