The first months of this little girl's life – Zlata – were no different from others: she grew, developed, and enjoyed every new day. But at 6.5 months old, everything changed – a high fever and seizures brought her to the hospital. The doctors diagnosed meningoencephalitis, and the chances of survival were only 50/50.
Despite all the difficulties, this strong girl survived! She fights for her health every day, going through a difficult path of rehabilitation. The consequences of the disease were hemiparesis (weakness of the left side of the body) and symptomatic epilepsy. Thanks to ongoing treatment, 7-year-old Zlata can now stand with support and for a short time without support, walk more confidently, repeat new words better and learn new skills. However, the girl still has spasticity in her left arm and leg, cannot master the grasping reflex and still speaks poorly.
During this time, the girl has undergone a huge number of rehabilitations in Ukraine and abroad, but now the family is financially exhausted and cannot pay for new treatment on their own. We believe that together we can give Zlata a chance for a full childhood! Please join the fundraising – each contribution brings her closer to her dream of walking on her own.
