11-year-old Konstantyn is a cheerful, sociable boy who loves to spend his free time actively. Six years ago, his family could not even suspect that something was wrong with the child. But the first symptoms were like a bolt from the blue: Kostia lost a lot of weight and refused to eat. When his worried parents took him to the hospital to have his blood sugar tested, the glucometer showed a reading five times higher than normal. The child was immediately sent to the endocrinology clinic, but by the time he got there, the boy's sugar level had almost doubled.
Kostia's life was hanging on by a thread for three more days, which the boy spent in intensive care, but the doctors managed to find the right approach to stabilize his condition. Now Kostya's carefree days have been replaced by constant control: control of sugar levels, control of insulin injections, control of regimen and diet.
For people with diabetes, and especially for children, one very convenient device becomes a lifesaver: sensors that continuously measure and monitor blood sugar levels allow you to monitor and respond to it without constant punctures. However, they also have a significant drawback: their price. Currently, only his father works in the family – his mother is on maternity leave. Kostyk already has a sister, and the family is expecting another addition any day now. Kostia really needs sensors, give him the opportunity to grow beyond the inexorable claws of eternal fear and pain!
