For most of his life, Oleksii has been living with a disease called a "slow-acting bomb" – diabetes mellitus. Insidiously and sometimes imperceptibly, the disease penetrates every organ and tissue in the body, impairing their functioning, and therefore requires constant and careful monitoring.
The disease has already taken away not only Oleksiiʼs carefree childhood and normal life – due to diabetes, he has lost both lower limbs. But despite everything, he does not give up: he helps boys and girls get back on their feet after injuries and prosthetics, and is actively involved in sports.
However, independently determining his sugar level is becoming increasingly difficult for him every year. It is becoming less and less safe to trust his senses: he cannot always understand his condition, and it is not always possible to measure his sugar, especially in the middle of the night. Therefore, Oleksii needs help – he needs continuous glucose monitoring sensors that will allow him to get rid of constant anxiety and the need to rely on his own, often misleading, feelings of well-being.
Please help Oleksii.
