Jan cannot live without medicine

Yan Zinkevich is an incredibly strong boy. At the age of 2, he has gone through a long way of rehabilitation and struggle with terrible diagnoses. He was supposed to be born a healthy child, but when he was born, he was not breathing. He was resuscitated, but the consequences of severe hypoxia and asphyxia could not be avoided. The baby spent his first 10 days in a medically induced sleep, on a ventilator, and fed through a tube.

His mother took Yan home, and the difficult period of diagnosis began. He did not sleep at all, screamed, and could not eat from a bottle. At the age of 3 months, Yan was admitted to the hospital, and doctors diagnosed him with cerebral palsy and focal epilepsy. The medication regimen, which stopped the child's seizures and improved his general condition, was found on the 4th try. Now Yan has to take his medication every day to live. This allowed the boy to start rehabilitation and fight cerebral palsy.

Yan works out at home, travels to Kyiv to the Krok Za Krokom center and visits the Future center in Odesa. Unfortunately, the boy still does not hold his head, does not sit, stand or talk on his own, eats only liquid food and is allergic to lactose. But his incredible intelligent eyes understand everything and want to say something, the boy really wants to walk on his own two feet. Yan is very smart and has all the chances for socialization and self-care skills. It's an incredible job to teach him something basic, and a lot of money is spent on rehabilitation sessions. The medications that Yan takes every day just to live without pain also require a lot of money. Therefore, his mother has to skip rehabilitation for the sake of medicines, because without them, the boy has no life.

The family is not able to provide Yan with full treatment. Therefore, Jan's mother asks everyone for help in providing medicines for her baby.
