Nikita was a real miracle for his mother, and every moment was filled with her love and sincere admiration. But with each passing day, his mother noticed more and more that her son was different from his peers: he spoke little, walked on tiptoes, did not always understand when someone called him, and sometimes expressed excessive activity and curiosity. Unfortunately, she was not the only one who noticed this. At kindergarten, he was separated from the group and asked to be picked up early, and was not even invited to celebrations. The teachers advised her to take him to see a doctor, saying that “something was wrong with him.” Local doctors frightened her with discouraging prognoses, while regional hospital staff did not give clear answers. Only at OKHMADYT did the boy receive a diagnosis: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD.
The boy works with specialists, attends a robotics club, goes to the pool, and has even begun to express himself creatively: he loves to draw, is good at sculpting with plasticine, and enjoys building with Legos. But every day he came home from school completely devastated, with tears in his eyes and painful questions: "Why am I not like everyone else?", "Why do they always scold me?", "Why doesn't anyone love me? I love everyone so much...".
Constant stress left a deep scar on him, not only inside but also outside: his small body simply could not take it anymore. Nikita ended up in intensive care in serious condition. There, he was given a new diagnosis that would forever change the course of his life: type I diabetes.
Now the family is back home, where mother and son are learning to live again, step by step. Fortunately, continuous glucose monitoring sensors can help them do this. Support them on this journey!
