Damian really needs medicine

A boy with an unusual name Damian is already familiar to UBB donors. We raised funds for searching and for typing of donor for bone marrow transplantation. Damian is now 5 years old. On August 1, in Turkey, Damian underwent an allogeneic stem cell transplant from an unrelated donor. Bone marrow was used as a source of stem cells. The operation went without complications. At the moment, the boy is already at home. 

"After we returned from Turkey from the clinic, the mother of Damian says, he changed a lot and became afraid of visiting hospitals".
Now Damian is already feeling better, she is taking a blood test once a week: biochemistry and general blood counts are not stable, they higher or lower than normal. He eats poorly, lost a lot of weight. The child continues to have diarrhea and vomiting – the consequences after chemistry and from the drugs that he is now taking.

"In general, he is active, wants to play with children very much, says the mother of Damian. But he still cannot contact children and visit public places". Damian paints play with toys and love to walk on the street. The boy has exacerbated vision problems. Damian does not see with his right eye and it’s too late to do the operation. Vision has fallen on the left eye, consultation in a specialized clinic is required for him n Kharkiv. Her mother is very worried so as not to be late to save her left eye. Favorite cartoons the boy now watches so rarely...

Damian is shown the administration of immunoglobulin. To support the boy in treatment, we are opening this fundraiser for the purchase of the medicament Bioven-mono 5% in the quantity of 7 vials for the total amount of 15,244 UAH.
