Five-year-old Davyd is a very active, cheerful, positive, and cheerful boy. But when he was not even two years old, the family suffered a great grief. The first alarm bell was his constant, incessant crying – at first, his parents attributed it to the usual childhood ailments. They began to worry when none of the usual pharmacy drugs gave their son a drop of relief. The family doctor, who was called by the worried parents, immediately suspected the diagnosis as soon as she saw the boy drinking glass after glass of water. And she was right – Davyd was soon diagnosed with type I diabetes.
The whole world of his parents seemed to stop. Life would never be the same again-not for them, and certainly not for their baby. But, stepping over themselves, they plunged into this new and terrifying world. During the two weeks of training, they learned how to give the injections that would haunt them from morning until late at night, how to choose Davyd's food and measure its glycemic index, and how to cope with sudden sugar spikes and drops. Step by step, the family moved into a completely new rhythm of life.
Constant injections, pierced and bruised fingers, expected and terribly familiar pain day and night is a great stress even for an adult, let alone a small child. The parents' hearts bleed at the sight of the tears of their boy, who had to give up his carefree childhood to fear and pain so early. They searched everywhere for something that could at least slightly relieve the burden from his fragile shoulders, and finally found it. Glucose monitoring sensors make life much easier for people with diabetes, and many patients abroad receive them for free.
For the family, whose lion's share of money is already spent on Davyd's treatment and special nutrition, not to mention the fact that the boy has two older brothers, this device is an unprecedented luxury. His mother takes care of the children around the clock, and only his father works in the family. Don't let Davyd's memories of a life without constant pain disappear without a trace – give the boy the opportunity to get it back!
