Pasha is 17 years old. He was born and grew up in a large family. This young man studies well and moves steadily toward his goals.
From childhood, he was active, curious, and cheerful. Together with his older sister he took dance classes, was passionate about sport, and loved mathematics. He later took up athletics. Sport became an important part of his life. For five years Pavlo trained hard, until a leg injury forced him to give up his favorite pursuit.
At the age of 10, the boy went through the difficult experience of his parents' divorce. It was a hard period, but thanks to the support and love of those close to him, he was able to work through the pain and keep moving forward.
In time, Pavlo discovered new interests. He studied acting, sang in a choir, performed in a children's theatre, and even appeared in minor roles in Ukrainian television series. He always strived to develop, to find himself, and never to rest on his achievements.
After school, Pasha enrolled in a technical vocational college, where he actively took part in the creative and community life of the institution. He performed in competitions, recited poetry, won prizes, and prepared for the NMT. But gradually, worrying symptoms began to appear in his life: constant fatigue, intense thirst, drowsiness, and a sharp deterioration in his wellbeing. Despite this, Pasha successfully passed the NMT and enrolled at Kyiv National University in the Faculty of Radiophysics, Electronics and Computer Systems. He dreamed of studying alongside his older sister and building a successful future.
But it was precisely then that the family's life was divided into "before" and "after". After an examination, his blood test showed a critically high glucose level. Within minutes of hospitalization, doctors diagnosed Pavlo with type 1 diabetes. The news came as a true shock to the family. No one could understand why the illness had appeared in a boy who had grown up healthy and active. His mother was beside herself with despair, lived in constant anxiety, blamed herself, and searched for answers that don't exist. Yet even in that darkest moment, Pasha found words of comfort for her: "Mum, people live with this – you just have to learn. I will learn."
Today Pasha has been living with diabetes for two years. Unfortunately, he almost never feels the dangerous fluctuations in his blood sugar levels. That is precisely why a continuous glucose monitoring system is absolutely vital for him. Sensors allow his levels to be monitored around the clock and provide timely warnings of dangerous episodes.
For a large family where the children are raised by their mother alone, the regular purchase of expensive sensors is extremely difficult. Yet without them, the risks to the boy's health and life increase significantly.
We are reaching out to caring people with a request to support Pasha. Your help will give him the ability to study safely, make plans, and live a full life despite a difficult diagnosis.
Every contribution is not just help with purchasing sensors. It is support for a young man who has not lost faith in his dreams and continues to move confidently toward his goals.
