Children are hungry during Covid-19. 2

The COVID-19 pandemic has made adjustments to the difficult life of families in difficult life circumstances. No one knows how long the quarantine will last and when people will be able to return to their former life with work and the ability to somehow financially support their family. And children from families in crisis, who suffer the most under the given circumstances, are hungry today and need our support. We ask you to treat the needs of children with understanding, because only with your help we will be able to raise the necessary amount to purchase the necessary products.

Caritas Khmelnitsky has been supporting families in difficult life circumstances in the project "Social and Pedagogical Work with Children and Youth in Ukraine" since 2008. Today, 78 families of 2020 are under escort and 60 requests from parents who are in crisis to be escorted are presented. Such a large number of requests is primarily due to the spread of the corona virus pandemic. And even when the pandemic is under control, grief, anxiety and depression continue to affect people and society. In addition, hundreds of families in our community are also facing economic shocks, losing or at risk of losing their income and livelihoods due to the pandemic. And children suffer the most in this situation. We understand that the influence of economic stress can lead to “deaths from despair” - suicides and we try to help in every possible way, organize various campaigns in support, social initiatives, involve philanthropists-entrepreneurs and government officials in cooperation. For seven months of quarantine, we have provided assistance to more than two hundred families. Our support and support of dobro.ua platform assistants was very necessary and so timely.

In the summer, we carried out fundraising on the dobro.ua platform, and thanks to the funds collected on the site (15,000 UAH), we were able to purchase the necessary products – cheese, butter, sausage, mayonnaise, canned food, cereals, flour, butter, tea, etc, and provided food packages to our 48 families in charge.

Today we once again turn to you, our dear benefactors, and ask you to help support children from families in need. In general, we plan to provide assistance in the form of food sets for 60 families for a total of 20,000 UAH. Let's not stay away from the problems of these families and give them the opportunity to survive these difficult trials.
