Maksym was born in a struggle for life. When he was born, his lungs were not breathing. Doctors did everything possible, and the boy survived, but his brain was severely damaged. Maksym was connected to a ventilator for 10 days. As soon as his condition stabilized, he and his mother were discharged home.

The peace did not last long. On the sixth day, little Maksym was taken to the hospital again. Again, resuscitation, again ventilator. That time, doctors made a diagnosis that changed his life forever: microcephaly, symptomatic epilepsy with frequent seizures, hypoxic-ischemic CNS damage, gross spastic tetraparesis, delayed psycho-speech development.

Now Maksym is 2 years old, and in this short time he has undergone many courses of treatment. And these efforts are already showing results: the boy's spasticity has decreased and he has become more physically active: Maksym holds his head better, babbles more and shows more emotions.

Maksym has a new rehabilitation course ahead of him, and his further progress depends on it. But the family cannot cover the cost of treatment on their own. We ask you to help Maksym. Every hryvnia is a small step towards big changes in his life. Together we can give this brave boy a chance for a better future.
