Let's help teenagers who are in trouble

Some throw away food, while others miss it. The wards of the "Pax et bonum" charity foundation are considering whether they have enough money for a piece of cheese after paying for their dormitory accommodation. It would seem that lack of food is a misfortune for lonely old people, sick people and families in difficult life circumstances. And apart from the usual list, teenagers find themselves in the shadows. Those whose childhood and adolescence were spent in families experiencing poverty: these are children of large or incomplete rural families, where parents cannot provide children with even the most necessary and elementary things, children deprived of parental care.

And when such a child, after completing the 9th grade of school, goes to study at a school or lyceum in order to get "on his feet" as early as possible, earn money on his own and help young brothers and sisters, then he himself faces with the harsh realities of an independent life, with a catastrophic lack of funds even for the most necessary things – for food. At the age of 14-15, in fact, he is still a child, and he often has nowhere to wait for help. 

The scholarships that students of vocational schools receive today are barely enough to somehow "last" a few weeks , because, in addition to food, it is also necessary to purchase stationery, and pay for the dormitory, and much more, not to mention the purchase of seasonal clothes or additional training or self-development... Therefore, sometimes these children are forced not only to malnourish, but even to starve, and how the consequence is to get sick, drop out of school, or, in the worst case, may face problems with the law, trying to somehow make money...

A significant number of such children are students of vocational schools, and under our care now more than 30 such wards-teenagers - students of Khmelnytskyi Lyceum of Services. Our foundation has been cooperating with this educational institution for a long time and tries to help its students in every possible way. 

To help them, we start raising money for food – cereals, canned fish and meat, cookies, dairy and meat products, etc. These teenagers cannot be helped by their relatives, they are still quite young and cannot earn on their own yet.

Let's not be indifferent! Only you and I can lend a hand to these boys and girls in the most difficult times of their lives so that they can live, study, become independent and good people. 

We will help them, and good will surely return!
