Help Kristina pronounce the word

      Kristina was born at 36 weeks and suffered from hypoxia. Until she was eighteen months old, she developed like any other child: she responded to her loved ones, spoke her first words and showed curiosity about the world. Then there was a sudden regression: the girl stopped speaking and making eye contact, and her ability to point and understand spoken language disappeared.
      In accordance with Cooperation Agreement No. 21 between the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ and the Charitable Aid Operator, the Charitable Foundation ‘POMAGAYEM’, dated 31 August 2020, and Supplementary Agreement No. 21. No. 364 of 20 April 2026, the project ‘Help Kristina Speak’ was posted on the website of the International Charitable Foundation ‘Ukrainian Charity Exchange’ – dobro.ua – with the aim of raising donations to cover the cost of Kristina Zabranyuk’s treatment.
      During the fundraising campaign, it became necessary to use part of the funds raised on the website of the Charitable Organisation International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” – dobro.ua – to cover part of the girl’s rehabilitation costs. Therefore, in accordance with letter No. 176 dated 28 April 2026, we received the collected sum of 22,356.00 UAH (twenty-two thousand three hundred and fifty-six hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s account and continued the fundraising campaign on the dobro.ua platform.
      On 5 May 2026, thanks to the donors of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange who contributed to the girl’s fundraising campaign, we received a further 2,057.00 UAH (two thousand fifty-seven hryvnias, 00 kopecks) into the Fund’s current account to cover the child’s treatment and project administration costs. 
      Thanks to the funds received, in April this year we paid for part of Kristina’s rehabilitation at the Charitable Organisation ‘Rehabilitation Centre, PHYSICAL THERAPY AND INCLUSIVE EDUCATION NAMED AFTER SAINT JOHN THE Righteous’ for a total amount of 21,200.00 UAH (twenty-one thousand two hundred hryvnias, 00 kopecks).
      After completing the rehabilitation course (1 April 2026–29 April 2026), Kristina began to make eye contact more often, and for the first time her family heard those long-awaited words — ‘mum’ and ‘dad’. Another surprise: the little girl began to express her wishes not in the form of questions, as she had done before, but through direct requests. This was an important step towards the development of her communication skills. Dad took on the role of companion for the first time during her rehabilitation, and this moment was special not only for the little girl but also for her mum Natalia, who was finally able to take some time for herself. 
      Mum Natalia is infinitely grateful to everyone for supporting her daughter during her rehabilitation. Thanks to the efforts of the specialists, they are now seeing such amazing changes.
      We plan to use the remaining funds of 3,213.00 UAH (three thousand two hundred and thirteen hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to meet Kristina’s needs in 2026.
